This is also Community
How We Live and Work Together
Empowering businesses, organizations, and intentional communities to foster meaningful connections, collaboration, and care
Why community is important
Community is the foundation of human connection, collaboration, and care. It gives us with a sense of belonging, which is fundamental to our well-being. True community offers a collaborative support system, where people come together to share resources, knowledge, and emotional support, making it easier to navigate challenges, both personal and collective.
In my experience, whether it’s within ecovillages or companies, communities that are built on strong values of care, honesty, and cooperation enable individuals to thrive. They provide a space where diversity of thought, background, and skill is embraced, allowing everyone to contribute meaningfully. Community is also vital for solving larger societal issues; by coming together, we can create sustainable systems that benefit not only ourselves but the world around us.
It's hard for me to make this section short, so if you want to hear more about my thoughts on Community, head over to my blog or my podcast.

Together, we ca build the foundations of a healthy Intentional Community. Join me in discovering how we can reconnect with nature and each other.

About me
Hi, I’m Rosanna Lopes. I’m passionate about building, nurturing and exploring communities that foster connection, healing, and collaboration. My professional background is Online Marketing, but while doing that I’ve spent years creating community studying how we come together and thrive.
Through my podcast, blog, and consulting work, I’m on a journey to help individuals and organizations reimagine community. My goal is to inspire new ways of living and working that prioritize connection, collaboration and care.
All the while, I'm visiting and looking for an intentional community to settle into, and I share my learnings along the way.
Some examples of my experience and relevant courses
Co-founder of Lisbon Digital Nomads
I co-founded Lisbon Digital Nomads, an offline community designed to foster connection and combat loneliness among digital nomads in Lisbon. The community grew to 20,000 members over 7 years on meetup.com. Hosted daily events ranging from social gatherings to workshops, creating deep connections for digital nomads through both in-person and online platforms.
Community Manager for Central Istrian Coliving
Managed a month-long Gourmet Getaway Workation in November-December 2023, creating an engaging environment that immersed participants in local culture and community.
Community Building Course at Tamera in Portugal
I completed the "Building Community as a Key to Peace Work" course at Tamera, an intentional community, which deepened my understanding of how intentional communities can serve as models for peace and sustainable living. We focussed on building peace-oriented communities, Transparent communication, Conflict resolution strategies, Environmental and social responsibility.
Intentional Communities in other parts of the world
I also visited the Ecovillage Piracanga in Brazil, and various communities in Mexico. These experiences have deepened my understanding of living in harmony with nature and each other, and they continually inspire my work. For some of them, I have done Marketing Projects or Marketing Consultancy. At Tamera, I have also worked in their Marketing team for 4 months.
Conflict resolution course by IC.org
I completed a 6-week course on "Working with Conflict in Community" that equipped me with advanced strategies for resolving conflicts. I developed skills in navigating group dynamics, fostering open communication, and transforming challenges into opportunities for growth. My approach ensures communities can work through difficulties while maintaining strong, empathetic relationships.
True community begins when we remember that care is the foundation of human connection. It’s in the small, everyday acts of support and understanding that we create a space where everyone can drop into trust and thrive together
